Make rhythm something you can rely on.
Make Rhythm Work is a practical course designed to help musicians, singers and dancers develop a stronger, more confident and instinctive sense of rhythm.
Through a simple four-part approach, you'll learn to find rhythm, move with it, vocalise it and see it — building skills you can take straight into your own music-making.
You don't need to be “naturally rhythmic”. Rhythm is a skill — and it can be trained.

Is this for me?
Make Rhythm Work is for instrumentalists, singers, dancers and anyone curious about rhythm. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced musician, you'll build stronger rhythmic foundations, improve your confidence and develop skills you can take directly into the music you love.
What will I actually learn?
We'll explore rhythm through four simple ideas: Find It. Move It. Say It. See It. You'll learn to feel and hold a steady pulse, understand subdivision, develop coordination and begin connecting the rhythms you hear and feel with the rhythms you see on the page.
What do I actually get?
18 video lessons, over 2½ hours of content, practical skill-building exercises and bespoke practice tracks. Work through the course at your own pace, revisit the exercises whenever you need them, and enjoy lifetime access to everything.

MEET YOUR TEACHER
Hi, I'm Ruairí. I'm a percussionist, filmmaker and educator, and I've spent almost 20 years performing, teaching and exploring rhythm.
My work has taken me around the world, learning from extraordinary musicians and rhythm traditions in places including India, Iran, Japan and Cuba. Along the way, I've taught everyone from complete beginners to professional musicians.
What fascinates me most isn't simply what rhythms people play, but how we experience rhythm — and how we can get better at it.
Make Rhythm Work brings together the ideas and approaches I've found most useful over those years into a practical method that I hope you'll be able to carry into whatever music you make.
